How to Use DHSC Online Platform When Changing Jobs

Are you a foreign worker looking for a new job, or thinking about changing jobs? Or perhaps you’re an employer looking for the ideal candidate? If so, you can use a new and convenient online platform that matches direct employers and foreign workers in Taiwan.

On January 15, 2025, the Ministry of Labor (MOL) launched the “Online Platform for Foreign Workers Switching Employers.” Developed by the Direct Hiring Service Center (DHSC), it provides assistance to foreign workers who are changing jobs and transitioning to new employers.

Guide to Using DHSC Online for Changing Jobs

To ensure the smooth transition of foreign workers into new jobs, as well as to assist employers throughout the direct hiring process, the Ministry of Labor (MOL) introduced the “Online Platform for Foreign Workers Switching Employers.”

The Direct Hiring Service Center (DHSC) developed this new platform, which supports several languages (i.e. Chinese, English, Thai, Indonesian, and Vietnamese) for good communication among employers and workers.

At present, the platform provides assistance for employers and foreign workers in these sectors: manufacturing, construction, maintenance facilities, agriculture, slaughterhouses, ocean fishing, and home care.

Features of DHSC Online Job Matching Platform

According to the Workforce Development Agency (WDA) of the MOL, here are the features of the DHSC’s new online platform:

For Employers

Using the platform, employers can: (a) post job openings; (b) search for applicants whose resumes are posted on the website, and (c) invite potential candidates for job interviews.

For Foreign Workers

Meanwhile, using the platform, foreign workers can: (a) upload their resumes; (b) look for job openings; and (c) apply directly for the job.

In addition, the platform has a “condition matching” feature, which automatically recommends job seekers and employers to one another, based on their details. This leads to a fast, simplified process for everyone!

How to Use DHSC Online Job Matching Platform

To use the “Online Platform for Foreign Workers Switching Employers,” employers and foreign workers can begin by going to the DHSC website at https://dhsc.wda.gov.tw/en. With a valid email address, they can create and register an account on the website. Registration is free!

Once registered on the platform, employers can start posting job openings and searching for candidates, while foreign workers can upload their resumes, set job preferences, look for job openings, and apply for the job — all through the same platform!

In addition, the DHSC has introduced a designated phone line for “job matching assistance” to help schedule and facilitate coordination meetings.

Additional Service: Coordination Meetings

Speaking of meetings, this is another service offered by the DHSC, aside from the online job matching platform. Every week, the center holds at least two (2) employer-worker coordination meetings. Depending on the situation, these meetings involve bilingual interpreters, inter-country video matching, and other related services. This way, employers and foreign workers are able to communicate effectively.

Coordination meetings may be registered via mail, fax, online methods, or directly in person.
